Our company's success means we need to find a Desktop Support Technician person for our growing IT team.
In this role, you will provide technical support to end-users; set up and configure hardware and software systems; and manage ongoing maintenance of all computer-related hardware.
You are solution-focused when trouble shooting with internal customers and enjoy providing training on new or updated systems.
As part of the Technical Services department in IT, you will have the opportunity to work with the project team in testing, releasing, and supporting new software.
Shift will be Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm and will include a rotating schedule for on-call and emergency response support.
Qualifications:
- IT Diploma/Certificate from a recognized postsecondary institution
- Ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical audiences
- Exceptional customer service skills and strong active listening skills
- Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to analyze problems and/or requirements and develop a suitable solution
- Strong time management and multitasking skills
- Working knowledge of Windows desktop environments
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong team player with ability to work independently
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking concepts would be considered an asset
- Ability to communicate fluently in French and English (oral and written) would be considered an asset
