As we gear up for the upcoming season, we seek a reliable and dynamic individual to join our team as a Field Foreman.


Main Duties:


  • Promote the organization's mission, vision, and values.
  • Accountable for ensuring crew adheres to all policies and procedures (e.g., OH&S, HR, etc.). Ensure adherence to budgets/overtime requirements and quality standards.
  • Accountable for the implementation of Landscape Projects assigned by the Project Manager. Projects must be implemented efficiently, safely, and in accordance with Park Standards.
  • Plan the onsite workflow in accordance with the goals set and instructions given by the project manager.
  • Ordering materials, equipment, and trucking in advance. Ensures that materials and equipment are onsite when needed.
  • Training, developing, coaching, instructing, and supervising all crew members in their tasks and in the safe and correct handling of tools and equipment.
  • Setting performance expectations, work goals, and objectives for the crew, including conducting performance discussions (formally and informally) in accordance with the expectations of the organization.
  • Hosting daily crew meetings to discuss the scope of work for the day and ensure everyone understands the manhour budget and expectations.
  • Promoting high standards for workmanship, developing a safety culture, and creating a positive team environment.
  • Participating in the department and/or organizational policy & procedure meetings.
  • Perform a worksite inspection together with the client on completion of the project.
  • Ask clients to fill out satisfaction surveys and provide feedback regarding their experience.
  • Always communicate professionally and politely with customers onsite.
  • Completing all required safety paperwork, including daily equipment and vehicle inspections, fieldlevel hazard assessments, toolbox meetings, and incident/near miss reports.
  • Inspecting, maintaining, and operating equipment on site.
  • Participating in complex tasks onsite grading, softscapes, and hardscapes.
  • Participating in regular physical landscaping work onsite to ensure workflow and performance are as expected. Lead by example.
  • Doublecheck all work being produced to proactively prevent deficiencies
  • Immediately address deficiencies to avoid production delays.
  • Ensure the site is clean and work is up to standard by project completion.
  • Ask the Department Manager questions if you need clarification regarding the scope of work or sitespecific details.
  • Keeping written track of any & all change orders decided with the client onsite and submitting to PM for approval before the new work starting.
  • Use Asset Tiger to sign out/in all tools and equipment used.
  • Use Aspire to clock crew members in/out and switch between work tickets as needed throughout the day.
  • Fill out service requisitions for maintenance and repair requests. Follow up to ensure they are completed on time.
  • Deliver all receipts for Material to PM and Fuel Purchases to the Fuel Receipts Folder Daily.

Physical Condition and Capacities:


  • The role is roughly 60% of the time, completing tasks that require walking, lifting, and bending and tasks that require physical strength and repetitive movement.
  • The role is roughly 40% of the time, completing reasonably sedentary tasks, including equipment operation, driving, meetings, and planning.
  • Ability to handle a highpaced environment.
  • Hands and finger dexterity are required for texting, and electronic recordkeeping/writing is required.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
