About the Position


As the RISE Program Manager West, you will be responsible for supervision and support of the RISE Program Coordinators in Vancouver, Edmonton and Winnipeg.

You will report to the The Director of Programs, and will collaborate closely with the RISE Program Manager East. Your work will impact our mission by driving innovation, increasing collaboration, and ensuring our deliverables are met and exceeded.


Conceiving & Planning

  • In collaboration with the Program Manager, RISE East implement RISE program objectives and goals
  • In collaboration with the Program Manager, RISE East, adapt curriculum and programming that aims to improve the overall experience of the RISE youth participants
  • Bring an equity lens and population focus to all strategy work, program development, and content development
  • Identify, recommend, and pursue opportunities to enhance the RISE program that support Apathy is Boring's strategic goals

Organizing

  • In collaboration with the Program Manager, RISE East, develop and control deadlines and activities for the RISE program
  • In collaboration with the Program Manager, RISE East, develop content and support Director of Programs with logístical planning for biannual RISE retreats
  • Keep master calendar of scheduled activities and events up to date and elaborate on project management plans for each
  • Assist with the preparation, communication and distribution of RISE program plans and budgets

Staffing

  • In collaboration with the Programs Director, lead hiring and staffing of RISE Program Coordinators based in Winnipeg, Edmonton and Vancouver
  • Working closely with program coordinators based in Winnipeg, Edmonton and Vancouver to ensure deliverables are met and HR support provided
  • Oversee HR needs, including monitoring Program Coordinator's work plans which includes the integration of mentors
  • Cocoordinate staff training days and group activities alongside Director of Programs
  • Conduct evaluations, hold regular check ins as well as appreciation activities for Program Coordinators

Leading

  • Work with the Programs Director to identify partnership opportunities to strengthen linkages with organizations and partners in communities and across Canada
  • Coordinate with Communications team on participant recruitment, and ensure program materials are shared and timely
  • In collaboration with the Program Manager, RISE East coordinate with Programs Director on RISE program content and review when needed

Reviewing

  • Travel to Winnipeg, Edmonton and Vancouver to support Coordinators and review the program roll out across different communities
  • Assess program performance working from KPIs, objectives and goals set out in the Evaluations Plan and grant deliverables
