Facilities Management is responsible for the planning, development, engineering, construction, operation, maintenance and stewardship of all the buildings, infrastructure, sites and services within Western's campus community.

Responsibilities:

The Maintenance Planning Coordinator will provide maintenance planning support within Facilities Management (FM).

The Coordinator is responsible for the management of relationships with internal and external clients who interact with the FM's Maintenance Planning and Client Services teams.

The Coordinator will act as a key resource to ensure communication and customer service needs are at the highest level.

The Coordinator will also be responsible for providing a wide range of advanced and diversified planning and scheduling support functions that enable trades resources, work order scheduling, and preventative maintenance scheduling.


Qualifications:


  • Education:
  • Undergraduate Degree in Business or Technical Diploma/Degree
  • Completion of some postsecondary courses related to general building maintenance or trades preferred

Experience:

  • 3 Years' progressive administrative, customer service, and/or preventative maintenance organizational experience
  • Experience ideally obtained in a complex public sector or manufacturing environment preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office, Work Order Management System Asset Management, and Atlassian Confluence/Jira
  • Demonstrated ability to create and manage complex schedules with several variables
  • Knowledge of general office administration policies
  • Exceptional customer service skills to handle enquiries and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner
  • Judgment, analytical, and problemsolving skills with a consultative and collaborative approach to addressing issues and opportunities
  • Possesses a reputation for resourcefulness with a strong sense of accountability and initiative
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple conflicting priorities in a fastpaced environment with frequent interruptions
  • Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships within the department, with other departments, and other key business partners
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently (with mínimal supervision) and take initiative and follow through on work priorities
  • Positive, outgoing attitude with an unwavering commitment to customer service and teamwork
