Opportunity:
MacEwan University Athletics is looking for experienced and enthusiastic youth sports coaches to lead, support, and motivate campers as they enjoy full-day basketball, volleyball, hockey, or multisport camps in a positive team environment.
As a Student-Athlete Camp Instructor you will help lead instructional sessions for a group of young athletes emphasizing skill development, safety, sportsmanship, and fun.
Key responsibilities include:
- following the specified daily training schedule outlined by the Camp Coordinator;
- working with other camp staff members to plan and coordinate camp events;
- leading and supporting campers as they participate in age-appropriate sports activities; and
- cleaning, maintaining, and ensuring proper use of University facilities and equipment.

You will have:
- patience, maturity, and dependability;
- great organizational and time management skills;
- strong character and personal ethics;
- high level of responsibility and accountability; and
- strong communication and leadership skills.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of 1 year experience coaching youth sports or playing on postsecondary basketball, volleyball, or hockey teams.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
A valid Vulnerable Sector Check through the Edmonton Police Service must be completed before camps begin.
