Description
DUTIES:
- Helps QA Manager and QA Supervisor to maintain calibration system in place as per ATC Calibration Operational Procedure
- Performs internal calibration of measuring and testing equipment to approved Calibration Instructions (CI) and QC Work Instructions (QCWI)
- Performs calibration with accuracy and frequency as per ATC Calibration Operational Procedure
- Maintains proofs of calibration and accurate records (EnGage Plus) which verify the calibration status for every instrument in the ATC Calibration System. (Keeps records of asfound / asleft calibration values)
- Helps with commissioning new or temporary gauges; helps with development of CI & QCWI for new acquired measuring equipment
- Helps with MSA studies (Stability, Bias, Linearity) on key gauges used in automotive, critical production processes, and control.
- Helps with Production NDT calibration and maintains inventory of NDT calibration standards.
- Helps with maintenance of existing CI and QCWI and preparation of new ones.
- Ensures that each active measuring and testing device is assigned a serial number and valid sticker.
- Performs calibration for gauges in ATC system and helps send masters out for external calibration.
- Helps maintain AVL-Calibration with valid copies of Scope of Accreditation.
- Liaise with other departments when calibrations are performed outside QC.
- Remove any gauge(s) from service that are determined to be either outside tolerance limits for calibration or damaged and report any need for immediate material containment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be 1st or 2nd year coop student
- Must be selfmotivated & strong desire to learn
- Good people skills
- Enrolled in a quality assurance/ engineering or similar program
ACQUIRED SKILLS
- Will learn how to perform job safely within a manufacturing facility.
- Will gain exposure to a manufacturing environment and will learn how to perform under the pressures associated with that environment.
- Will gain knowledge in the calibration and management of gauges and other equipment used for quality assurance.
- Will acquire knowledge of different types of quality assurance gauges, measurement system analyses, and general quality assurance methods used in a high paced manufacturing environment.
