The Community Engagement Manager is responsible for the delivery of communication initiatives and event programs of the BGC Niagara.


Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Community Engagement Manager will ensure the creation of critical paths and action plans to support promotional materials, website and social media channels, fundraising and promotional events, and effectively deliver the BGC Niagara brand.


Position Overview:


  • This is a fulltime hourly position; evenings and weekends as required. Compensation is $ /hr. based on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications:


  • Postsecondary education in Communications, Marketing, Events Management, or a related field;
  • Ability to obtain an acceptable Police Clearance.
  • Business Communication 3 years of experience preferred
  • Fund Development 3 years of experience preferred
  • Non-Profit experience
  • Marketing and Events experience

General Responsibilities:


In consultation with the Chief Executive Officer:

  • Take a leadership role in coordinating Community Engagement Activities including; Annual Campaigns; Events; Program Marketing/Advertising.
  • Ensure marketing "creative" and text are available to support community engagement activities;
  • Manage communication software not limited to website, social media, fundraising and CRM;
  • Ensure record keeping of intellectual material;
  • Provide support to Community Engagement staff and volunteers;
  • Provide leadership to senior management team;
