The Position:

We have an opening for a Unit Manager to join our
Commercial Insurance Transacting Team
Individuals in this position are responsible for providing leadership and direction to the Commercial Insurance Transacting Team.

They must have a thorough working knowledge of all CITT processes and provide coaching or mentoring to the CIT team.

Design and execute on the Service Level Agreement (SLA) for Commercial Insurance.

Provide feedback and offer advice to Branch Managers or Directors as it related to transacting, policy updating, or improving workflows and/or streamlining processes and procedures for Commercial Lines and CITT.

This position serves as a resource and liaison to the branch and ensures there is consistency and adherence to the published BrokerLink workflows.

What you will be doing:

Inspires and challenges team to participate in achieving organizational goals. Promotes a collaborative environment by emphasizing team objectives. Provide and be accountable for providing leadership and technical support or direction to the CIT team members. Providing coaching and guidance. Responsible for ensuring individuals are proficient on the software programs, workflows and processes.
Responsible for hiring, training, performance appraisals and supervision of staff to ensure that all administrative functions for the branch are handled in conjunction with branch requests.
Work with the Branch Managers to offer suggestions for training or coaching as it relates to processing of the business for Commercial Lines.
Ensuring performance of the CIT team by auditing, ensuring metrics are met and continual monitoring of the flow of paper to ensure SLA is met. Ensure the team understands the needs of their customers (frontline CL associates)
Solving problems and answering questions from branches or various Managers, Directors, insurer's or internal customers with regard to workflow questions.
Work with National Manager or Director on special projects, as needed.

What you bring to the table:

Minimum education level: High School
Minimum of years insurance experience with 5 of those being in commercial
Technical knowledge: Accounting skills, Computer Skills Excel, Word, Outlook. EPIC (BMS) familiarity an asset
High degree of professionalism, diplomacy and integrity
Excellent customer service skills and adept in conflict resolution
Able to work in a fastpaced environment, under pressure and deadlines
Ability to build and maintain a successful team and partnerships
Ability to pass a criminal background check and credit check preferred
