Description

Position Scope

Key Responsibilities**- Prepare and operate CNC punching machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, etc.

  • Understand the specifications of the tasks at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.
  • Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function
  • Safely operate the CNC punching machine (safety training will be provided)
  • Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines
  • Prepare test runs to check if the machines produce the output according to specifications
  • Program machines to complete full cycle fabrication large number of parts
  • Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result
  • Inspect and measure finished products, and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly
  • Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure the functionality
  • Carry out any other adhoc duties as required

Qualifications & Abilities

  • Completion of High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a CNC punching operator
  • Skills in operating CNC punching machinery, precision measurement tools and other hand tools
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawing
  • Computer savvy with a basic understanding of computer programming and CAD
  • Mechanical aptitude and good math skills
