IVY Business Development Manager
We are looking for a well-qualified, enthusiastic, high-energy Business Development Manager who will be responsible to drive innovation in our automotive GTM approach, establishing advocacy and technology thought leadership at target customers.
Utilizing your skills and experience, combined with a proven record of driving business growth in the automotive sector, you will be a self-starter with a passion for automotive software sales committed to growing BlackBerry IVY success.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Responsible for leading business development and customer presales engagements
- Develop accountbyaccount business development strategy in alignment with regional sales account managers and the IVY team to deliver targeted accountbased sales activities.
- Build relationships with key target OEMs and Tier1s, as well as with internal teams.
- Establish demand generation and pipeline account engagement, recruiting prospective customers (OEMs & T1s), and converting to POCs and design wins.
- Deliver customer sales presentations and lead onsite or virtual workshops.
- Deliver product demonstrations at trade shows, workshops, and speaking engagements.
- Provide technical expertise, lead use cases, solutioning with customers.
- Lead PoC proposal, POC oversite to successful completion & design wins.
- Lead operations of OEMs/T1s, customer negotiations, statement of works, pricing, contracts, etc.
- Responsible for engaging with ecosystem partners to support POC customer proposals.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Track record of working in a business development role, in a dynamic sales environment for prospecting, qualifying, negotiating, and closing business with automakers and tier 1 suppliers.
- Automotive tier 12 experience, with an established network of contacts in the automotive sector
- Ability to understand highly technical concepts, embedded automotive technology, cloudconnected technology, and systems
- Comfort and validated effectiveness in pitching automotive software solutions to a technical and nontechnical audience
- Track record and ability to operate in startup organizations at a fast pace to deliver results.
- Commercially minded, experience with organic business development for new technologies.
- Selfmotivated, driven, and independent: can navigate organizational complexities independently, tackle obstacles and deliver results without excessive supervision.
