The Specialty Machine Operator has primary responsibility for setting up a production line within a Co-Pack plant, ensuring safety, quality and maximum productivity.
- Set up machines (minor adjustments/troubleshooting, calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle
- Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed, Set recipes)
- Feed raw material or parts to semiautomated machines
- Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools
- Test operation of machines periodically
- Fix issues that might occur during the shift
- Ensure that product quality meet customer specifications
- Check output to spot any machinerelated mistakes or flaws
- Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
- Maintain activity logs
- Other tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Completed High School Diploma; technical degree is a plus.
- Minimum of two (2) years of packaging or manufacturing experience.
- Proven experience as a machine operator
CORE COMPETENCIES:
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Working knowledge of diverse highspeed machinery and measurement tools (high speed bagger, heat sealer, laser printers, shrink wrappers, check weight calibration.)
