The Specialty Machine Operator has primary responsibility for setting up a production line within a Co-Pack plant, ensuring safety, quality and maximum productivity.

Set up machines (minor adjustments/troubleshooting, calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle
Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed, Set recipes)
Feed raw material or parts to semiautomated machines
Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools
Test operation of machines periodically
Fix issues that might occur during the shift
Ensure that product quality meet customer specifications
Check output to spot any machinerelated mistakes or flaws
Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
Maintain activity logs
Other tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Completed High School Diploma; technical degree is a plus.
Minimum of two (2) years of packaging or manufacturing experience.
Proven experience as a machine operator

CORE COMPETENCIES:

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Working knowledge of diverse highspeed machinery and measurement tools (high speed bagger, heat sealer, laser printers, shrink wrappers, check weight calibration.)
Understanding of production procedures
