Job Summary:


Reporting to the Finance Manager - Foodbuy Conversions, the Senior Financial Analyst will provide product conversions and market basket analysis to assist the Account Managers, Field Implementation Managers and Sales departments to win, retain and grow their customer participation in the most lucrative preferred supplier programs.

They will also assist the department manager to address cross-departmental issues and improve processes, timeliness, and accuracy.


Product Conversion & Pricing Analysis

  • Work with AMs and FIMS to understand, extract and analyze complexly structured data from multiple sources (e.g., product details, rebates/allowances, sector pricing, supplier listings) to determine client performance and product recommendations
  • Review and evaluate existing and proposed purchasing programs to identify and quantify the most financially lucrative solution for product optimization
  • Summarize findings, using Excel, to assess financial impact, improve client return on spend and identify opportunities for revenue growth

Market Baskets & Pricing Analysis

  • Work with the Sales department to prepare and analyze market basket performance and make recommendations for product conversions while improving timeliness and accuracy
  • Work crossdepartment to investigate, quantify and propose alternative solutions to increase the 'win rate' of prospective clients

Leadership & Development:


  • Support the team manager in addressing inquiries and resolving issues
  • Provide leadership in the development and implementation of more efficient processes
  • Review department statistics to track performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Support the documentation of processes and training of new staff

  • University degree or College diploma in a businessrelated field
  • 4 years experience in an analytical support role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with intermediate Excel skills (x/vlookup, power pivot, updating macros)
  • Strong attention to detail as well as critical thinking
  • Proactively engages with USA departments to understand and improve processes
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, analytically inclined and a team player
  • Positive attitude with the desire to acquire and share knowledge and skills necessary to elevate the department function
