- Assist with loading and unloading trucks.
- Move items to/from staging area using a forklift or pallet jack.
- Ensure items are packaged safely before shipping.
- Document both shipping and receiving information.
- Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
- Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Proficient in operating both stand up and sit-down forklifts.
- Read and interpret shipping labels. Familiarity with, and in some cases ability to complete the various forms utilized in freight movement such as shipping orders, city stripping manifests, freight bills, overage/damage movement reports and exception forms.
- Hand load, rewrap or stack freight as necessary.
- Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies (e.g., pallets, straps, rope).
- Frequent contact with production facility personnel; fast paced and deadline oriented.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- A high school diploma or GED certificate preferred.
- Experience in a warehouse or shipping environment a plus.
- Physical stamina.
- Basic math skills.
- At least 18 years old.
- G2 License is a plus.
