Duties and responsibilities

Prepare and maintain monthly reconciliation of select general ledger accounts
Manage accounting for insurance claims and work closely with the risk management team
Manage and maintain accruals and prepaids
Maintain deferred assets accounting records and supporting documentation
Assist with monthly financial close across two systems (IMOS and Oracle)
Review select balance sheet account balances
Manage intercompany transactions
Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure accounting objectives are met
Generating support schedules for the annual audit
Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis, as required
Contribute to improve processes, procedures and tools utilized by the department.
Accomplish other duties as assigned.

Qualification and skills

Strong accounting skills including knowledge of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE)
Meticulous with great attention to details
Ability to work with large volumes of data
Ethical and accountable
Respectful of deadlines
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
Excellent Excel and database skills
Team player with very good interpersonal skills
Solid communication skills both written and verbal, including the ability to present analysis to individuals outside of the accounting group
Bilingual
