Red River Co-op is recruiting for the position of
Gas Bar Assistant
Manager at our Gas Bar at Dakota, located at 830 Dakota Street in Winnipeg, MB.

This position reports to the Gas Bar Manager.
This is a Term Position.

Position:

Essential responsibilities of the Assistant Gas Bar Manager include but are not limited to the following:

  • Be a liaison and public relations representative for the Co-op within the communities we serve.
  • Develop and promote a strong culture of engagement within the store.
  • Cashing and acting as a pump attendant, as required
  • Support the Gas Bar Manager in daily operations of the Gas Bar.
  • Assist the Gas Bar Manager in ensuring Safety standards are adhered to.
  • Lead your team to provide world class customer service.
  • Do your part in helping to achieve financial results and budget objectives in the areas of sales, margins, expenses and profits.
  • Ensure shift to shift standards of the Gas Bar are met, including cleanliness and sanitation, inventory control, rotation, ordering and commitment buys.
  • Coordinate and assign shifts to staff based on accepted practices.
  • Provide leadership and direction to employees.
  • Train new staff members when required.
  • Complete cash summaries, and cigarette and lottery balancing when required.
  • Control drive off forms and police reports, and follow up with overfills.

About You:


  • You possess previous retail supervisory experience; thorough knowledge of retail operations, good communication/interpersonal skills, and sound business sense.
