Description

Reporting to the Operations Director, B2B, the Home Centre Manager is responsible to oversee all aspects of the day-to-day operations of their location, in alignment with their division's goals and objectives.

They ensure all programs and practices are aligned to Saskatoon Co-op's standards, the site is effectively and efficiently managed to drive the growth of revenue and productivity, while providing a high quality customer experience and building relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

They achieve results through their team members and are a model of Saskatoon Co-op's vision, mission, values and brand, and are dedicated to building a culture of safety and employee engagement.

2. Financial Management**:

Leads and develops store level budget.

Works with Operations Director to review financial reporting and provides variance explanations within the timelines provided, and implements adjustments to obtain profitability.

Oversees all site level audits, including regular inventory counts, schedules and recording of markdowns. Tracks and monitors sales and targets.


3. Marketing**:


In support of the division's marketing plan, provides input into the division's marketing plan, executes store level and local marketing plan as directed by Organizational Leader, ensuring point of sale and in-store signage and promotions are aligned with programs and organizational/divisional marketing campaigns, and effectively displayed.

Inform all team members of the campaign and required behaviours to align with the desired outcomes.

4. Analytics**:


Track and compile relevant site level data to measure targets and analyze results, such as sales and employee sales hours, CASM execution, shrink, inventory, margin, productivity, pricing, and specific product performance.

Utilize analytics tools and other tracking methods. Work with Team Leaders to gather insights, and implement corrective actions.


5. Safety (and Environmental) Stewardship**:

Ensures compliance with Saskatoon Coop's Safety Policies and government regulations (OHS committee meetings, fire drills, operator's certification). Reports incidents, workplace accidents and near misses as required. Aids in investigations in asset protection or other related matters.


Qualifications:


  • Grade 12 or Equivalent, with a preference for postsecondary education.
  • 510 years' progressive and successful retail management, preferably within a Home Centre environment.
