We are looking for a Digital Editorial Assistants to help collect and synthesize local travel knowledge from around the world to generate insightful, encyclopedic guides and tools for a luxury travel recommendation site.
This site will be _the_ go-to source for how best to travel, highlighting everything from the hottest destinations to the most coveted hotels, restaurants and more.
Primary Responsibilities
- Help collect and synthesize local travel knowledge from around the world to generate insightful recommendations, guides and lists.
- Work with a team of content editors to produce accurate, engaging travel guides, recommendations and servicedriven articles designed to educate, inform and enhance audience engagement.
- Interview local destination experts worldwide to get local insight, compelling quotes and the most uptodate information.
- Conduct additional internet background research.
- Transcribe interviews and extract most relevant and compelling details.
- Write, edit and perform data entry as needed.
- Factcheck travel guides and recommendations on a routine, ongoing basis.
- Upload content on to our CMS platform
Qualifications
- College or university degree in journalism.
- Extensive experience interviewing sources for digital and print articles.
- Proven expertise in researching and fact checking.
- Published clippings demonstrating exceptional storytelling.
- Strong attention to detail and superior organizational and time management skills.
- Able to manage deadlines in a fastpaced, constantly changing workplace.
