- Serve as the liaison with all levels of the NAIT usercommunity, communicating new functionality to staff, processes and/or businessrules
- Provide end-user support to ensure the ultimateapplication user experience by facilitating training, creating referencematerials and resolving issues in a timely manner as they occur
- Provide the necessary foundation of HR businessknowledge and innovative research skills to facilitate effective discussionsand propose recommendations to support and identify business solutions tobetter align with our ERP transformation from PeopleSoft to Workday
- Gather, assess, analyze, and translate currentpolicies, programs, agreements, services, or business requirements and apply avariety of analytic processes and techniques to identify opportunities forimprovement
- Utilize a variety of tools including, but not limitedto, PS Query, MS SQL and MS Excel and Visio to extract data for reportingpurposes for internal and external clients
- Analyze and compile data to ensure accuracy andcompleteness for business reporting
- Work in conjunction with IT professionals to providesupport for application maintenance and modification through testing, reportdevelopment, and documentation
- Review system upgrades and patches to assess theimpact to processes, and develop and execute test plans to ensure efficientenhancements
- Collaborate with business users and applicationdevelopers to manage deliverables, identify bugs and recommend and introducesolutions
- Strong understanding of Human Resources/Payroll &Benefits practices is an asset
- Demonstrated success with business requirementsanalysis, group facilitation, gap analysis, process mapping and design as partof a business transformation
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and handlemultiple priorities
- Experience in interpreting legislation and internalregulations/policies
- Strong business acumen that is centered aroundbuilding customer value through innovative technical solutions, strategies andpractices
- Exceptional time management skills with the ability towork on several initiatives in parallel, while independently prioritizing andexecuting tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Extremely analytical and enjoy solving problems,proposing more than one solution to a problem and tackling new challenges whileimproving processes and creating efficiencies
- Natural talent for building relationships andcollaborating with others, along with the ability to work independently
- Strong understanding of Relational Databases (SQLServer) and principles - understanding of Data Modeling Concepts
- High level of proficiency with SQL coding, creatingreports, and running queries
- Proficiency using Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables,Visualizations, Formulas) and Project Management software, and Power BI
- Strong interest in data analysis, with the ability tosummarize complicated data analysis, making it easier to understand
- Related degree or diploma, preferably with a specializationin business analysis
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a businessor process analyst position preferably within a human resources environment,and in a unionized, post-secondary environment
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working within amedium to large-scale ERP system, preferably Workday and/or PeopleSoft
- Preference will be given to those with experienceimplementing a large-scale ERP like Workday
- Minimum 3 years of experience with writing complex SQLscripts
- Business Analyst/Project Management certification isconsidered an asset
- Experience working with both agile and waterfalldelivery methodologies

TheHR Business Analyst will be a crucial member of the Workday ImplementationTeam, tasked with supporting the transformation of NAIT'S ERP system fromPeopleSoft to Workday. Following the successful implementation of Workday, theHR Business Analyst will transition to the HR Operations team.
Weare seeking an individual who is a self-starter, creative and enthusiastic intheir approach, and who is in constant pursuit of challenging the status quo tomake better and more efficient HR processes, while always keeping in mind theend user experience.
