Department Overview

  • TD Wealth Operations is part of Wealth Shared Services and is the operational engine of TD Wealth. Wealth Operations supports all of TD Wealth distribution channels (DI, FP, PIC, PIA), TD Mutual Funds, TD Asset Management and TD Securities.
  • TD Wealth Operations goal is to be recognized as an industry leader in Operational Excellence by developing and delivering a framework to drive best inclass client, colleague, and partner experiences.
  • The mandate of the team of FTE includes:
  • Delivering
    accurate, timely and complete processing across the Client Servicing Journey covering client onboarding, maintenance and recordkeeping, transfer services, trade and cash management processing, client reporting and communications

Modernizing client servicing to deliver scalable, digital experiences that are faster and paperless

Reducing risk while satisfying regulatory requirements

  • Oversee daily operations of the (i) Client and Tax Reporting, (ii) Reconciliations, (iii) QA & Custody Support (TDAM activities outsourced to Wealth Ops), (iv) Security Master & Pricing, (v) Operations Business Control and Innovation and (vi) Fees teams.

Talent Management

  • Manage a lean, dispersed workforce of digitally savvy resources performing judgmental and analytical activities.
  • Optimize efficiency, productivity and customer service within multiple regulatory constraints and established SLAs.
  • Provide strong leadership, coaching and professional development to all members of the team while ensuring succession planning is in place for all areas of accountability

Risk Management

  • Establish and maintain a strong control ecosystem and supervision to mitigate risk
  • Perform centralized risk management functions for Wealth and Enterprise business functions (COEs).

Transformation and Data Driven Decisioning

  • Design and deliver seamless E2E client and colleague experiences with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Oversee development of data validation routines to ensure completeness of client reporting
  • Lead the change management coming from Project initiatives, Regulatory changes, and Product /Services developments.
  • Partner with front office on cocreation and adoption.

Business Management

  • Manage the COE to meet or exceed targets.
  • Develop Product and Services in partnership with Business Architects, Technology, Product group and Business partners
  • Manage vendor relationships (together with Business Architecture) with Kyndryl, RR Donnelly, Symcor, and TLM for reconciliations
  • Act as a Bank representative on tax industry groups (IIAC)

Job Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree is required
  • Postgraduate education (e.g., MBA) and / or business designation (CFA, CMA) is desirable
  • 710 years in a senior Wealth Management or Corporate Strategy role is required
  • Strong knowledge of Wealth Management business is an asset
  • Proven people management skills, with a strong ability to effectively lead diverse teams through the use of development training, coaching and ongoing performance management
  • Solid experience and proven record in working closely with senior management across lines of business within a wealth environment, along with conceptual and critical thinking
  • Proven track record of success working in a matrix environment
  • Engaging colleagues, business partners, external stakeholders, and employees seamlessly to define a shared / common goal
  • Able to manage significant ambiguity and constantly changing circumstances in a fastpaced environment
  • Able to develop good business relationships internally and externally
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills and strong interpersonal and leadership skills to facilitate working with senior management at all levels
  • Demonstrated experience with large scale change initiatives
