Purpose:

Schulich enrolls approximately 3,000 students annually in undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate business. Located in Toronto, Canada, the School's multimillion-dollar, award-winning complex is on York University's main campus. Schulich's downtown Miles S. Nadal Management Centre is situated in the heart of the city's financial district.

The Manager, Recruitment and Marketing is responsible for coordinating and executing the aspects of the recruitment and admissions portfolio for the recruitment and admissions of the domestic Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs including events, marketing and communications, and the recruitment and admissions of top applicants to the program.

The Manager, Recruitment and Marketing will be responsible for assisting in the development of marketing strategies for applicant recruitment and conversion.

As well, leads and manages the student and alumni ambassador program and ensures services exceed student expectations and provides for the various needs of graduate and undergraduate admissions applicants.


Education:

Post-secondary degree preferably in business, marketing, communications or a relevant field.


Experience:

Minimum 5 years of related experience.


Knowledge:

Strong knowledge and understanding of marketing, communications, and event planning.
Working knowledge of and proficient in using customer relationship management (CRM) and marketing automation software an asset.

Knowledge and understanding of Canadian and international legislation, ethical standards, and policy documents relating to marketing, data collection, privacy and accessibility.


Skills:

Ability to create marketing plans and strategies.
Effective written and oral communication skills.
Skilled in proofreading, editing, and maintaining attention to detail.
Ability to develop and/or a lead cohesive team and manage performance and productivity.
Excellent planning, project management and organizational skills with ability to prioritize workload and meet timelines.
Adaptability to change, new ideas and practices.
Excellent tact and diplomacy, and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

Skilled in new and emerging technologies/platforms that facilitate two-way dialogue and remote work initiatives (i.e., social media platforms, MS Teams, Sharepoint, Zoom and Google docs).

Compensation:


York's CPM Compensation Framework has a salary grid consisting of 6 or 8 steps (depending on job grade) which is reviewed annually with possible adjustments, and a lump sum Performance Based Recognition Award.

Employees will receive the grid adjustment and depending on performance, eligible permanent employees may move to the next step of the grid and may receive a lump sum Performance Based Recognition Award.
