SUMMARY:


MAINTENANCE ATTENDANT #2:

performs journey level work and is required to have previous experience and knowledge of the fundamentals of a building maintenance, which is typically attained through the Facilities Maintenance Attendant #3 classification or equivalent experience.

Associates in this classification perform a broader range of duties, more technically complex tasks, are supervised less closely, are expected to set an example of professional efficiency.- Assist in the ongoing maintenance of the RCYC grounds and facilities.


  • Assist in the preventive maintenance/repairs on buildings including, but not limited to, painting, drywall, cleaning and general building upkeep.
  • Maintaining and repairing heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems
  • Participates in inspection, troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, repair, replacement and overhaul of equipment and machinery.
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies when necessary
  • Facility inspection for security/damages within the property
  • Fire Extinguisher Inspections
  • Door/Lock hardware repairs and installation (basic)
  • Installation and mounting of building fixtures (tv's, signs, etc.)
  • Effective LOTO (Lock out, Tag out) Compliance
  • Hot/Cold Calls
  • Ensure the removal of all snow and ice from the walkways in the winter months.
  • Maintain log of tasks performed and write reports as required
  • Maintain a wide variety of power tools in good, safe working condition.
  • Perform all duties according to Health and Safety Standards.
  • Work jointly with other staff when repairing and troubleshooting.
  • Comply with Club Policies and Procedures.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by Management.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • A minimum of three years of technical experience or equivalent in a recognized trade with understanding of the building maintenance and operation.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted regularly. Physical demands are significant with this job.
  • Climbing ladders, lifting objects, operating equipment and tools will be required.
  • Comfortable working with various power tools, equipment as required.
  • Able to work indoors and outdoors under various weather conditions.
  • Demonstrate a high level of professionalism during interactions with associates and members.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting as well as able to take direction and work unsupervised.

HEALTH AND SAFETY:


  • Must work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act Regulation and follow in accordance to the Club's Health and Safety policies and procedures
  • Report all accidents, illnesses, or 'near miss" incidents to your direct reporting Manager immediately

HOURS OF WORK:


  • Fulltime Seasonal position (up to 40 hours per week) with potential of becoming permanent.
  • Must be able to work weekdays, weekends and public holidays as well as various shifts (days & evenings)
  • Able to work indoors and outdoors under various weather conditions
