About the role
This selection process is restricted to employees working on Parliament Hill.

The Executive Assistant is responsible for providing executive and administrative services to the Sergeant-at-Arms of the House of
Commons (SAA) in a professional and confidential capacity in order to ensure effective office management that enables the optimal
control and flow of all information and documentation received and disseminated by the Sergeant-at-Arms. Responsibilities
encompass all aspects of coordinating correspondence, information materials, meetings, briefings, etc., as well as in support of the
strategic House agendas, CMG and Speaker's directions for the Office of the Sergeant-at-Arms and Corporate Security (SAA-CS). The
position is responsible for various administrative services in support of the SAA's office (e.g., purchasing, travel, hospitality) and for
planning and delivering various small and medium-sized projects as required by the SAA.

What you need Secondary school diploma;

Education College diploma in business administration or information management is considered as an asset.

  • Experience in providing administrative and office management services to executives (e.g., calendar,
budget, office supplies, travel arrangements);

  • Experience in coordinating concurrent activities, prioritizing requirements, and resolving problems;

Experience

  • Experience in providing advice and guidance to internal and external clients;
  • Experience in the development and implementation of standards, practices, and processes;
  • Experience in drafting and editing correspondence and other types of documents.

Other Experience in planning and implementing administrative projects.
