We're offering a range of exciting summer internships that cover the full spectrum of the work we do —from venture solutions, to business development, to people & culture.

MaRS summer interns will have the opportunity to get hands-on experience, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, put forth their ideas and contribute to a dynamic organization.

We're also planning a jam-packed summer schedule of cross-functional events, workshops, social and networking opportunities to complement the work and learning that our interns carry out in their roles.

They are ideas people, always thinking of innovative, new ways to do things. Beyond this, there are specific knowledge and skill requirements for each role, as detailed below.

About the Internship Opportunity with Market Intelligence**In this role, you will be a key member of the Market Intelligence Team. The intern will work closely with startups to understand their needs, develop market research proposals, execute research studies and present recommendations. In addition, the intern will be involved in collaborating with the Market Intelligence Team to develop research assets and tools, contribute articles to the Market Research Collection on the MaRS Toolkit, and refine/improve operational efficiency.


What you'll be doing:


  • Designing, executing and delivering customized market research projects to high potential startups
  • Reviewing market research questions from earlystage startups and providing relevant secondary research
  • Spearhead the organization and standardization of MI's google drive folder
  • Contributing to articles that support startup success

What You Bring

  • You demonstrate passion for entrepreneurship and innovation and the desire to use your skills in market research to support the growth of Canadianbased technology companies.
  • Knowledge and interest in working with Fintech, Cleantech or Enterprise SaaS startups
  • Passion for research & analysis
  • Selfstarter with personal accountability and commitment to achieving and exceeding goals and objectives
  • Professional verbal and written communication style that is clear and concise
  • Highly adaptable to change, thriving within a fastpaced environment
  • Organized, detailoriented, efficient, and able to plan and manage time effectively

You'll be provided with the required equipment and necessary communication tools to be able to collaborate effectively with your team and all MaRSians, which is core to our ability to deliver on our mission and values

The Fine Print
Applicants can either be a 2023 graduate of a post-secondary program or returning to post-secondary studies in Fall 2023.

The internship runs May - August 25, 2023.

Hourly salary rate:
$22 - $27

Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada and reside in Ontario.
