Responsibilities:


  • May plan overall capacity for the team supporting this domain space with the Senior Application Delivery Lead and/or partner with their Head of Application Delivery and Business Engagement Leads to optimize capacity against forecasted demand
  • Lead a team of Data Analysts and Engineers in partnering with the business to elicit data & analytic needs, and then represent and document these requirements into requirement specifications for implementation
  • Lead the capture, review and update of data & analytics requirements and communicate to team members

Produce deliverables including:

  • Business Capability Matrix and other detailed requirements documentation as required
  • Business rules to be captured in metadata layer
  • Communication and training materials (as needed)
  • Leverage and lead sourcing vendor(s) for delivery (build/test/deploy). Ensure sourcing vendors provide services in accordance with the agreed scope & service level agreement (SLA) for the given project/initiative, meeting design standards, meeting performance metrics, including key performance indicators, user satisfaction targets, operating level agreements.
  • Help manage technical dependencies across delivery streams throughout projects/initiatives. Coordinate and manage the integration of capabilities into existing production environments as well as technical dependencies with other development teams, infrastructure, security, etc.
  • Enable the optimization of artifacts, processes, and tools used by the team through the software development lifecycle for delivery of work within the domain. This includes but is not limited to requirement/design standards, use of TFS, frameworks, and various accelerators.
  • May support the delivery of the Business Architecture by partnering with stakeholders and functional lead(s) to identify business process issues and capability needs in the context of discreet processes.
  • Liaise between technical and nontechnical resource team members to answer day to day business questions either directly or indirectly as supported by the Business Leads and SMEs
  • Conduct walkthroughs with project team members and business leads as needed
  • Promote change management principles with executives, senior leaders, managers and supervisors to influence, build relationships, and manage resistance
  • Provide support during end user training, prior to production deployments
Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Computer Science preferred
  • 7+ years experience in P&C Insurance industry and business analysis preferred
  • Leadership experience defining, designing, developing, and implementing complex integration business solutions
  • Relevant experience in the technology and business domain they support.
  • 7+ years of direct, relevant experience in building and maintaining reports and analytical tools (preferably in the Insurance industry or consumer finance industry)
  • 7+ years of experience using SQL and BI reporting tools
  • 5+ years of experience with SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS, SSAS and Tableau
  • Ability to develop and manage all aspects of the management information architecture, including the plans, interdependencies, schedule, budget, tools, and required personnel for developing and maintaining the data environment across potentially heterogeneous platforms
  • Experience working with vendors, system integrators, and/ or in a managed service environment.
  • Experience developing technical documentation including storyboarding, business requirements, use cases and presentations
