The Opportunity

We are looking for a
Branch Operations Coordinator who will be responsible for non-management and non-strategic operational functions of the assigned offices.

Tasks may include administrative oversight on assigned projects. Provides operational support for the assigned branches. This role does not have direct employee supervision responsibilities.


Essential Duties

  • You will be accountable for broad oversight and responsibility to ensure branches are operating in accordance with established professional standards, prepared to pass Corporate Audit and selfaudits including training and appropriate document management.
  • Responsible for ongoing implementation of BOSS Professional Standards within the branch.
  • Accountable for assisting in recruiting, hiring, onboarding, mentoring and coaching new team members. Lead and manage the local summer internship program according to corporate requirements.
  • Provide overall support to the branch leaders and Operations Manager for financials including reconciling reports, assisting with annual budget, and monitoring expenses.
  • Responsible for Quarterly updates of the Business Continuity Plan.
  • Act as liaison between IT and the branch. Responsible for communicating servicing requests, technology software and hardware requests and issues.
  • Partner with Manager(s) on the implementation of training as needed and ensure priority items are resourced and successful.
  • Accountable for the planning and organization of weekly / monthly branch meetings as well as coordinate office and staff events.
  • Other duties to contribute to the branch leaders or Regional Operations team.

Do I have what it takes to be considered?

  • Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft suite of products (ex. Outlook, Excel and Powerpoint)
  • Efficiency and attention to detail are paramount in our environment
  • Strong analytical/mathematical skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and produce quality deliverables on time under mínimal supervision
  • 1 to 2 or more years of experience in the risk management/insurance field (carrier, corporate, broker/consulting)
  • Experience working with Canadian Employee Benefits and/or Retirement, Vendors, and Insurance Carriers
  • Life and A&S license; CEBS designation, both an asset but not required
