- recreation programming, outreach and education, Variety promotes inclusion and healthy living through _
- adapted physical activity._***
Summary:We are currently seeking dedicated, enthusiastic individuals to provide our program participants with an
inclusive, sports centered, Day Camp program throughout the summer months.

Major responsibilities, include, but are not limited to;

Creating and fostering a fun, exciting, and safe atmosphere for camp participants;
Leading a group through an activity in a way that is organized, fun, and keeps kids moving;
Implementing lesson plans set out by Head Instructor;
Confidently participating in any aspect of an emergency situation (i.e. providing first aid);
Consistently providing excellent customer service for families and caregivers;
Performing all duties in a safe manner at all times;
Being familiar with facility and program schedule to answer any questions or concerns with

- parents/guardians.

Adhering to all Variety Village policies and procedures, including Health & Safety, AODA, and

Plan to Protect.

Participating in Variety Village training sessions;
Performing other duties as assigned.

Key Competencies and Qualifications:

Valid certification in CPR-C, First Aid, AED required;
Strong interpersonal skills;
Responsible and dependable;
Excellent verbal communication skills;
Demonstrated leadership abilities;
Punctual and reliable;
Positive, proactive approach to work;
Creative, flexible, & fast thinking;
Comfortable working with people of all abilities; previous experience working with individuals

with disabilities is an asset;

NLS & LSS Swim Instructor certifications are an asset.
