QA System/Database Administrator
Must be capable of working independently and collaboratively. This is a "hands-on" position requiring solid technical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Understand and follow GlobeStar's ISO Quality Management System, and all relevant operating procedures and work instructions.
  • Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of server, network, and virtualization in QA domain.
  • Organize, install, maintain QA Windows servers, network software and hardware, including visualization, OS patching, performance monitoring, user management,
  • Install, configure, maintain, and administer the Solutions Development SQL Servers, including all associated software and hardware (Windows servers, virtual machines, SQL Server tools and components including SSIS, SSRS, SSMS, SSDT and Encryption)
  • Installation, upgrade and maintenance of software systems and components such as Gitea, fogbugz, Jenkins,
  • Able to work with and learn operation of third part systems such as Cisco Call manager, Vocerra, Voalte,
  • Assist the Connexall Operations team and provide consultations for troubleshooting and deployment of database and analytics products at endcustomer sites.
  • Share technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and crosstraining to other peers and team members.
  • Develop and maintain wikis, manuals, documents.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or a similar discipline
  • Minimum two years of experience as Database or System administrator.
  • Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols such as HTTP, UDP, Gateway, AD,
  • Working knowledge of Network Security such as TLS
  • Working knowledge of SQL Server Administration.
  • Working knowledge in SQL Server performance tuning, optimization and troubleshooting tools
  • Experience with SSRS, SSIS and SSAS installation and configuration and knowledge in T-SQL.
  • Experience with scripting (power shell, Basic...).
  • Experience with automation tools is a plus.
  • Experience with Azure SQL Administration is a plus.
  • MCSA and/or MCITP certifications a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Flexible, team player, "getitdone" personality.
  • Ability to organize and plan work independently.
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to multitask and contextswitch effectively between different activities and teams

Work Conditions:

9:00am - 5:00pm EST - Monday - Friday
