The Cleaning Associate, Luxury Building is responsible for maintaining clean buildings, hallways, grounds, and vacant suites on behalf of York Property Management during and after construction.

The Cleaning Associate will begin cleaning during the final weeks of construction and beyond.

The Cleaning Associate will ensure the building is clean and ready for new residents moving in and continue as a part time Cleaning Associate once the building is complete.


Reporting to the Manager of Resident Experience and working with Maintenance Technicians, the Cleaning Associate will oversee the cleanliness of assigned building(s).

The Cleaning Associate will ensure that all operations are conducted in a respectful and responsible way, ensuring that all decisions and actions comply with the relevant legislation, policies and procedures.


Responsibilities

  • Clean building interior & units to make ready for occupancy
  • Sweep, vacuum, mop, scrub and wax floors
  • Remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse
  • Empty waste containers
  • Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings
  • Ensure washrooms clean
  • Scrub, wash, and wipe appliances, sinks, and tubs
  • Maintain Exterior
  • Water and tend to plants
  • Pick up any garbage around the property
  • Sidewalk salting and snow shoveling
  • Perform other related duties as required
  • Maintain log of tasks completed
  • Deliver forms, notices and letters to tenants while ensuring accuracy

The incumbent must possess the following experience:

  • 1 year of Professional Cleaning Experience preferred
York Property Management (YPM) manages 3,500+ residential apartment suites in Southwestern Ontario.

YPM offers a variety of different layouts of suites which accommodate a diverse demographic of young couples, families, students and retirees.

The company employs over 100 individuals working at head office, on site, or at various properties managed by YPM.
