The position will include teaching a module on the EU's regional cooperation mechanisms, which involves six three-hour sessions, consultations with students, constructing the course outline for the module, and evaluation of student written and oral work.

The module is part of an advanced undergraduate/graduate level course entitled The EU, Russia and China:
Competing Regionalism in Eurasia. The course is provided by the Institute of European, Russian, and Eurasian Studies (EURUS) at Carleton University.

In addition to teaching, the visitor will be expected to consult with students and give one research lecture at the Centre for European Studies on a topic related to the EU as a regional actor.


The short-term visitor will receive a stipend to cover travel and accommodation expenses, as well as a fee for teaching the module.

Travel expenses (economy airfare, ground transportation to/from Ottawa airport, work permit/visa fee) will be reimbursable up to CAD$2500, with receipts.

Subsistence expenses (accommodations and meal per diems, local ground transportation) will be reimbursable up to a maximum of up to CAD$5000.

This program is supported by a grant from the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, and by Carleton University. About the Academic Unit

Qualifications
Applicants must be based at an academic institution in an EU member state. We are seeking applicants with a completed Ph.
D. in a relevant field and with a record of publications, relevant teaching experience, and an active research program.
