TEAM & ROLE OVERVIEW


The
Coaching & Development, Lead is responsible for the design and delivery of best practice talent and coaching solutions to support effective and impactful leadership driving our customer-focused organization forward.

As a seasoned professional and practitioner in the talent development & coaching field, the incumbent will play an active role in defining and implementing talent programs for targeted audiences.

This role will also continue to enhance our individual and team offering by leveraging deep skills in individual and group coaching, team effectiveness and facilitation as part of the broader Culture, Leadership and Inclusion team.


Your work will strengthen the self-awareness, effectiveness and impact of EDC's leaders to inspire and lead employees, to cultivate a growth mindset in their teams; and to enhance leadership team performance.

Targeted development and coaching programs will align with EDC's values, and strengthen our corporate culture, employee engagement, accountability, and organizational effectiveness.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

EDC's
Coaching & Development Lead is accountable to:


  • Design, develop and implement talent development initiatives with a strong focus on competency development, coaching, mentoring, sponsorship, networking, and action learning initiatives in alignment with the overall EDC leadership journey
  • Support the creation individualized development plans of senior Leaders or high potential leadership talent, providing coaching and monitoring of progress in partnership with the VP, Culture, Leadership, and Inclusion
  • Lead the development and implementation of EDC's Coaching programs in collaboration with business stakeholders and HR partners to further advance EDC's culture
  • Source, vet, and recommend matches between external coaches and leadership; interview and vet potential external coaches; track effectiveness of our coaching investment and budget. Manage relationships with external coaching roster.
  • Actively seek out feedback from all levels within the organization to create robust metrics that measure program impact, to ensure continuous improvement through data driven and evidence informed practice
  • Design, deliver impactful coaching sessions for EDC teams and leadership cohorts that focus on resolving challenges, reinforcing learning, exploring new possibilities, and addressing real, workrelated challenges
  • Contribute and support the development of the Senior Leadership Onboarding program, including tools, resources, online content, and programs.
  • Collaborate in the evolution of our talent review and succession planning programs to enable the organization to proactively identify robust talent pools and accelerate the readiness and development of these pools including leadership talent
  • Act as a 'culture conduit' to share highlevel themes and recommendations to further the development of our leaders with key stakeholders
  • Guide the Coaching & Mentoring Community which offers coaching and mentoring to EDC employees through volunteer coaches and mentors and share knowledge on coaching practices.

SCREENING CRITERIA

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in
    leadership and talent development (including talent development pool approaches, processes and in deployment of advanced learning programs and initiatives like mentoring, sponsorship, coordination of Talent advisory Committee), individual and team coaching and organizational development.
  • Demonstrated aptitude and experience in the following: conducting needs assessment and analysis, problemsolving, maintaining confidentiality, presentation skills, group facilitation, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be
    fluently bilingual and able to offer Coaching in English & French.
  • Certification from International Coaching Federation (ICF) or equivalent accreditation
  • Degree in Organizational Developme
