About the Opportunity:
Reporting directly to the Health Services Manager, the Ward Clerk will provide operational support and organizational assistance to the patient care area in the Emergency Department.
About You:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Completion of a recognized post-secondary secretarial program is required
- Medical Terminology is required
- Recent certification in BLS or willing to obtain
- Demonstrated interest in contributing to quality patient care is required
- Experience/exposure to a health care setting is an asset
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks required
- Strong work ethic and adherence to confidentiality
- Demonstrated skill in working collaboratively and effectively with others required
- Ability and willingness to meet challenges and adapt to changing situations an asset
- An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered for this position
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
Hours:
- Permanent, Full-Time position; 70 hours biweekly
- Shifts include rotation of days, night and weekends.
Compensation and Incentives:
$ $21.90 Hourly
