- Assist in fire department administration and act for the Fire Chief as needed.
- Act as Local Assistant to the Fire Commissioner.
- Provide leadership to Suppression Captains in staff management.
- Manage staff performance and determine resource requirements.
- Develop fiscal plans and manage budgets effectively.
- Grade 12 completion with post-secondary education in a related field.
- Significant firefighting and supervisory experience.
- Class 3 driver's license with air endorsement.
- Completion of Fire Officer and Incident Safety Officer courses.
- Extensive knowledge of firefighting techniques and equipment.
- Fire Officer Level 4 or Fire Executive Management.
- Leadership, Business Administration, or Emergency Management.
- Starting salary of $162,388.
