Duties and Responsibilities:


  • The Leader Technician will work closely with the Supervisor and assist with directing employees while treating all team members with dignity and respect. Flexible work hours are required_

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Notify supervisor (or other relevant person) of any concerns relating to the following.
  • Training new team members, health & safety issues, shipping/receiving concerns, team member performance, absenteeism, potential misshipments/short shipments, mixed Kanban, or any other abnormality.
  • Ensure product is shipped on time.
  • Participate in Kaizen and TPS activities.
  • Operate Fork lift (when required).
  • Monitor and track daily absenteeism and PPL.
  • Review and schedule daily manpower and track daily overtime.
  • Report temporary personnel requirements to supervisor.
  • Communicate with shippers/sort wrap to ensure product is ready on time by following up on shipping preps.
  • Follow up with all new team members to ensure they are trained to standard.
  • Review and assign 6S responsibilities daily to ensure department is always organized and clean.
  • Work in a safe manner when operating forklift, battery change crane or other machinery.
  • Communicate safety or hazard alerts as issued by health and safety.
  • Lead and Motivate Team Members
  • Inventory Counts when necessary.

Requirements:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is_ preferred_
-or—successful completion of an aptitude test
