Component Delivery Manager - Peterborough, Ontario, Canada (Onsite)

About the Opportunity

What will you do?

Your day to day:

  • Managing delivery of project manufacturing activities and deliverables to ensure customer commitments are met.
  • Leading crossfunctional teams in delivering highquality products within cost and schedule commitments
  • Accountability for project team's performance with respect to project cost and schedule commitments
  • Initiate and lead appropriate escalations related to any project health concerns
  • Responsibility for planning and reporting processes related to project delivery (e.g. schedule updates, resource forecast, etc)
  • Communicate project status to internal WEC stakeholders
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the Manufacturing operations that focus on productivity, cost improvement and/or streamlining planning and execution activities.
  • Work closely with leaders of the various functional departments to ensure adequate resources are allocated to projects as needed.

What will you bring?

Who you are:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the nuclear industry (manufacturing, engineering, or construction)
  • 3+ years of relevant leadership experience (preferably leadership of crossfunctional teams)
  • Successful completion of a postsecondary diploma/degree in a relevant technical field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and comfortable leading meetings and giving presentations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, experience working effectively in a team environment.
  • Able to quickly manage changing priorities, assess multiple solutions to establish the most effective path forward and adapt project activities to respond

Preferred:

  • PMP certification
  • P.Eng. in relevant field
  • Proficiency in P6 (or similar scheduling software) is a strong asset
  • Proficiency in SAP (or similar ERP software) is a strong asset
