Description

Engineering Intern - Locations available Burlington; Kitchener, and Peterborough, Ontario, Canada (2024 INTERNSHIPS). Please mention the location you are interested in at the top of your resume.

As an Engineering Intern, you will work on a variety of technical and engineering assignments including design, drafting, assembly, testing, analysis, and report writing under the guidance of professional engineers.

Projects will be realated to your engineering discipline of study, solving problems related to automated welding, machining, and inspection of nuclear plant components.

Your Key Responsibilities/Qualifications

Design and optimization of systems
Identify suppliers of electromechanical components
Develop 3D models, detailed manufacturing drawings and bills of materials
Support assembly and oversee the assembly of developed systems
Support the development of component specifications and purchasing requests
Interface with outside vendors for component selection, manufacturing, and assembly.
Assist with the development of test procedures for systems to ensure compliance with design specifications
Assist with the operation of the final tooling system in the customer facilities

Who you are:

Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering degree eligibility
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent problem solving and time management skills
Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and knowledge
Knowledge of electronic equipment and computer hardware and software
Selfmotivated and highly organized
Proficient in 3D CAD modeling
