Sturgeon Public Schools is currently recruiting for a
Full-Time Permanent Educational Assistant 2 for a work assignment at Redwater School.


FTE: 1.0 FTE; 32.5 hrs/week; Monday to Friday; Full-Time Permanent


Initial Assignment:

Under the direction of the classroom teacher, the Educational Assistant will work with Grade 5-12 students in various school classrooms and environments.

Assisting in academics, regulation, and organization.


Qualifications & Experience:


  • Educational Assistant or Early Childhood certificate or diploma
  • Experience working with students with varying abilities, academic levels, and behaviors, knowledge of students with Autism, fetal alcohol effects (FAE)
  • Basic or Intermediate First Aid and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training or equivalent
  • Preference given to applicants having experience and training with varying abilities, Autism, Behaviors
  • Equivalencies that consist of a combination of education, knowledge, skills and abilities to formal education requirements may be considered

Hourly Rate:
$ $23.57 per hour, as per the CUPE Collective Agreement.
