We're seeking an assistant to support our Christmas Category director. If you're dedicated to hard work and carry the festive spirit with you throughout the year, this role is perfect for you.

Responsibilities:


  • Documentation Preparation for Director's

Business Trip:
_

  • Coordinate with suppliers to obtain price requotes and ensure timely completion.
  • Request photos and quotes for new items from suppliers and prepare a predeletion list.
  • Compile and organize Fair locations in Excel.
  • Request for Samples & Quotations and item creation:_
  • Followup on requests for new items.
  • Create followup spreadsheet upon Director's return.
  • Review old and new items, label samples, and verify details with suppliers.
  • Prepare and update item lists daily, including upload to system once verified.
  • Quoting Customers:_
  • Provide sales data for meetings.
  • Followup on special requests with suppliers.
  • Prepare pricing spreadsheets and quotes.
  • Bookings:_
  • Prepare purchase spreadsheet by vendor.
  • Collaborate with Director on purchase decisions.
  • Resolve any orderrelated issues.
  • Packaging:_
  • Provide packaging wording in English & French.
  • Review and approve final packaging.
  • Substitutions:_
  • Compile sales data.
  • Decide on substitutions or cancellations.
  • Inform reps and accounts of changes.
  • Perform any other duties as required by the job._

Requirements:


  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Comfortable working under pressure in a fastpaced environment to meet deadlines.
  • English proficiency (spoken and written) at a level of 70% for communication with suppliers and transporters across Canada.
  • French proficiency (spoken and written) at a level of 30% for communication with suppliers and transporters in Quebec.
  • Experience in purchasing considered an asset.
