Stroh Health Care is a dynamic and growing company that provides a number of province-wide services including the provincial coordination for BC's Responsible Driver Program and the Respectful Relationships Program Part 2.

Stroh Health Care is seeking a Manager of Human Resources.

Reporting to the CEO and COO, this role is primarily responsible for identifying staffing requirements, personnel management, and other office duties as required.

The HR Manager will ultimately be responsible for keeping all HR practices and policies current.


Primary Duties Include:


  • Fullcycle recruitment; advertising, conducting interviews and reference checks, preparing employment package, and onboarding of new employees
  • Assisting Department Supervisors in personnel management including training, coaching, conflict resolution, and disciplinary action
  • Conducting performance reviews and ensuing job descriptions are accurate
  • Overseeing payroll and compensation
  • Administering employee benefits package
  • Handling employee relations issues and investigations
  • Managing leaves of absence and return to work programs
  • Maintaining facilitator contracts and criminal record checks for contractors
  • Ordering office supplies including postage and maintaining equipment
  • Vendor contracts and service calls/troubleshooting
  • General office management tasks for a staff of about 30

Requirements:


  • Certificate in Human Resources Management
  • Minimum two years of Human Resources experience

Familiarity with Canadian labour and Human Resources standards

Primary Competencies:


  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills
  • Knowledge in the area of employment law
  • Uncompromising degree of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality

Salary:
To be determined based on experience


Experience requirements:


  • Management: 1 year (preferred)
  • Human resources: 1 year (preferred)
