Position Summary:

You must be eligible to work in Canada. The work location for this role is eligible for hybrid remote or in-person within Canada.


What you will be doing:


  • Support the Legal team with respect to various M&A transactions across jurisdictions in which WELL operates, including review of legal documentation such as term sheets, share and asset purchase agreements, subscription agreements, shareholder agreements, service agreements, commercial leases and nondisclosure agreements.
  • Assist the team with corporate and commercial law matters including drafting and reviewing of commercial agreements as well as corporate governance and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct due diligence on several projects and conduct research on various legal matters including the developments of corporate and privacy laws.
  • Develop and maintain legal document precedents, policies and best practices for the management of corporate records and complete ad hoc work and special projects assigned by the Head of Legal and Privacy.
  • Drafting memos on various legal topics surrounding healthcare, privacy and AI.

You have:


  • Currently enrolled in an academic program and finishing their first or second year of law school.
  • Keen interest in corporate & securities law, commercial law, M& A and /or privacy law
  • Strong legal research skills, statutory analysis skills and computer literacy.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English are required.
  • Possesses a strong work ethic.
  • Excellent judgment, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organized and ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Hourly Pay Rate:
$22.50/hour
