Wyndham Garden Winnipeg Airport is a full-service hotel located on the first Urban Reserve in Winnipeg; the Long Plain Madison Reserve located on Treaty 1 territory.
The hotel is owned by Long Plain First Nation and is operated by Winnipeg based Sparrow Hotels.The hotel features 132 guest rooms, pool, waterslide, fitness center, 5800 square feet of flexible meeting space, dining room, café, and 230 parking stalls.

SALES & CATERING CO-ORDINATOR
Responsibilities
- Coordinates meetings, events and / or activities related to sales functions within the properties
- Ensures timely processing of all activities to the sales function within the property, including detailed and updated client files
- Prepares quotes and contracts for the Sales Team
- Participates in site inspections, client appointments, client events as needed to broaden market
- Familiar with outside factors that may affect the hotels business including local festivals & events, as well as new businesses coming into market.
- Works with the Sales Team to identify and solicit new clients to meet set business development
- Entertains and conducts hotel tours for potential clients.
- Represents the hotel using the highest levels of integrity and professionalism with a servicefocused approach and a caring, sincere attitude at all times.
- Exhibits a positive and involved team attitude to all hotel departments and maintains open communications with all coworkers to ensure the best overall performance on the hotel.
- Data entry and updating account information in the property management system on an ongoing basis
- With other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong phone manner/etiquette and communication skills with emphasis on a demonstrated ability to sell the hotel services
- Advanced interpersonal, and social skills
- Ability to multitask and meet multiple deadlines
- Ability to deliver and demonstrate consistent outstanding customer service.
- Hospitality experience is a asset.
