This role will do local linehaul of trailer & b-train combos between our Vaughan & Kitchener Distribution Centres and our branches in Burlington and Niagara Falls on an afternoon shift (starting at 1pm for 10-12 hours).

Responsibilities and Duties

Perform truck safety check, alerting supervisor to any concerns
Make interbranch deliveries, switching trailers/btrains for backhaul
Make all requested deliveries/pick ups, unload transfers/returns off the truck
From time to time may un/load truck by them self and ensure load is secure prior to starting run
Provide excellent customer service

Qualifications and Skills

Valid AZ license with a clean driving record for the past three years (no infractions for speeding, DWI, or other major occurrences)
Ability to work overtime as required to complete a delivery or pickup
Ability to work in a productive manner with little supervision
Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to customer service with the ability to work in a team environment to achieve both company and personal success
Ability to analyze the importance of situations and respond appropriately.
Ability to deal with situations quickly and calmly under emergency conditions
Physically agile in order to lift, carry and move large and awkward items (up to 100 lbs)

Salary:
$21.00-$24.00 per hour
