Job Overview

Key Account Manager - Private Label is accountable for managing the process of creating and launching products under our customers brands in North America. Along with servicing current Private Label Customers, ensuring we are meeting their goals, strategies and continually growing their business. You will work closely with the Director of Sales to ensure the effective execution of our goals & strategies as it pertains to Private Label. You will be required to work with and build relationships with internal departments/stakeholders to bring new developments/projects to life in a timely and high-quality manor.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage private label business for major Canadian & U.S retailers, working closely with our customers to ensure effective execution of goals and strategies.
  • Facilitate daytoday requirements of our customers and support their sales needs.
  • Oversee the progress of projects and new product development, working with internal supply chain, R&D & QA teams to execute and flawlessly deliver on all inhouse projects for major customers.
  • Maintain and grow existing customer relationships with retailers in the US and Canada
  • Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining key business priorities
  • Partner with customers using solutionbased sales techniques to grow the business
  • Develop sales presentations paired with showcases of new and innovative products to support our customers needs.
  • Project management and tracking of new/existing product launches
  • Attend industry trade shows and customer meetings throughout the US and Canada
  • Liaise and collaborate with crossfunctional teams to expedite product development and product launch
  • Collaborate with senior management and sales team to create and implement effective strategies for growth and increase of profitability
  • Sales analysis, reporting and presentations to Senior management.
  • Learning our internal production capabilities and effectively delivering key messaging to our customers.
  • Delivering effective pricing strategies based on internal expectations and selling in with our customers.
  • Prospecting new private label accounts that fit within our overall company strategy

  • Previous project management experience required, preferably in private label in either consumer packaged goods or food and beverage

You have

  • Bachelor's degree (preferred) or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to portray a confident and winning attitude in challenging business
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office, including PowerPoint and Excel, required.
  • Trade Show experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience within the CPG.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, creativity, ability to solve problems, teamwork and getting work done through others is required.
  • Strong and proven communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, customer organizations and suppliers.
  • Relationship management, presentation skills are critical.
