What you'll do

  • Perform complex technology analysis including conducting work flow analysis and developing business information requirements and models. Define business scope and objectives. Plan, design, or modify practical manual and automated business procedures.
  • Provide recommendations to Health Authority decision makers by gathering detailed information from users, management, vendors, and technicians, researching and analyzing market, technology and industry trends and standards to assess corporate technology needs and system requirements. Evaluates the organization's technology use and needs and recommends improvements.
  • Formulate strategies and plans for shortterm and longterm technologies that support corporate business needs, including initiatives that support the selection, procurement and implementation of appropriate print related hardware, software and systems. Determines technology product standards including implementation standards.
  • Provide recommendations to the Team Lead/Manager for technology purchases and external resources on operational, capital, and project budgets. Monitors and reports to the Team Lead/Manager any potential budget variances.
  • Develop and updates processes, policies, KPI metrics, reporting, and all other documentation required to achieve operational excellence by methods such as establishing standards and procedures for use by Tech Services and customers. Writes comprehensive system and operating documentation, prepares complex technical/system documents for review and approval, develops maintenance procedures, and transfers knowledge of the solution to others.
  • Collaborate with, and represent Tech Services to, customers and others by developing and maintaining relationships with customers and other stakeholders, attending meetings to provide input into the operational and project requirements of the area; meeting internally with senior staff to determine priorities and needs; assisting customers in identifying technical/system deficiencies; and providing user training as required.
  • Liaise with vendors by researching and evaluating output/print technologies in order to provide recommendations, assists the manager in working with vendors to ensure service levels meet standards, and communicating with vendor or third party services personnel to identify, isolate and resolve problems.
  • Work with various Technology Services, IMITS, FHA IM, and customer team members to ensure integrated solutions and represents Technology Services in various initiatives across the organizations as an Output Management Subject Matter Expert (SME).
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

What you bring

Qualifications:


  • Graduation from a recognized degree or diploma program in Computer Science, three 3 years' recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

  • Ability to operate related equipment.
