AGF's Marketing & Innovation group is a high performing team that works collaboratively to develop and execute AGF' strategic product management and development; marketing and communications; and digital strategy and transfomation plans.

About the Role:


Reporting to the SVP, Strategic Communications, Research & Product Development, you will contribute to the development and execution of AGF's investment product development strategy.

You have a strong understanding of investment products globally across asset classes including vehicles, market trends, competitive peer set and regulatory frameworks.


Your Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the coordination and execution of product development research, peer and landscape analysis for AGF, contributing to new product ideas as AGF looks to grow its offerings globally.
  • Develop and present business cases for new investment products including competitor analysis, market intelligence and sizing.
  • Work with business partners on requirements gathering, analysis and implementation for new solutions or opportunities to improve existing solutions.
  • Work with Product Operations to manage the execution of launches from business acceptance through to delivery by partnering with Operations, Finance, Sales and Marketing to drive implementation.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams across the business.
  • Keep up to date with evolving regulatory requirements and compliance.
  • Participate in various industry body working groups and support ad hoc project work.
  • Work collaboratively with Investment Marketing and Product Managers to support Sales with ongoing support, knowledge and training for product structures and investment solutions.

Your Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in Finance or Business.
  • 35 years experience in product management and/or development of investment products.
  • CFA and/or MBA is an asset.
  • A strong working knowledge of capital markets, asset categories and investment product structures including mutual funds, ETFs, SMAs and OM including global and international equivalent structures and regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of investment industry services and distribution channels.
  • Experience and/or knowledge of ESG and sustainable investing products and trends is an asset.
  • Ability to build relationships with teams across the organization, excellent interpersonal skills and work effectively with individuals across cultures, functions and levels of seniority.
  • Strong organization and prioritizing skills with ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented, able to work towards deadlines.
  • Effective presentation skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint), Bloomberg, and Morningstar Direct.
