Dragados Canada, Inc., the Canadian construction arm of the ACS Group (one of the world's largest international construction and engineering companies), is seeking a talented and experienced Human Resources Co-op to join its dynamic and energetic team.
Dragados Canada was established in 2008 and has grown steadily into an industry-leader in Canada, with offices in Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal, successfully performing a variety of large-scale transportation, bridge, dam, tunnel, and other major infrastructure projects.
Job Summary:
The Human Resources Co-op will assist with various Human Resources procedures and programs: talent acquisition, learning & development, onboarding, HRIS, compliance, and various administrative tasks.
We are looking for a Human Resource co-op student for 8 months starting September 2024 for our corporate office in downtown Toronto, ON.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support with employee records, data entry and tracking
- Assist with updating a variety of HRrelated documents
- Collect, check and upload various documents from new hires and employees
- Manage new hire documents and information; support new hire orientation process, including onboarding and paperwork
- Support the Talent Acquisition team with various tasks as required: posting jobs, tracking, doing research, scheduling interviews
- Assist the Training and Development team with various tasks
- Assist with the new hire background check process
- Assist with the Coop program
- Participate in, oversee and assist with various projects
- Perform other tasks as required
Qualifications
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or Psychology
- Enrolled in an official coop program
- Previous work experience in office, retail or other is required
- Experience in an office environment will be considered a definite asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Experience with various graphics software will be considered an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Fluency in French will be considered an asset
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to maintain composure in a fastpaced environment
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work
- Team player who demonstrates enthusiasm, positive outlook and professional demeanor, and takes initiative
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
