Assistant Warehouse Manager

COUNSELTRON is currently recruiting for a Assistant Warehouse Manager. This position reports directly to the Operations Team and is responsible for maintaining receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and HR / HS policies and procedures.

COUNSELTRON is a National Importer of Kitchenware, Cookware and Health & Wellness products since 1984. We are customer centric focused.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Working with and managing a small warehouse team focused on both pallet shipments and single item ship packages for ecommerce for Canada's largest retailers
Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
Controls inventory levels by conducting physical cycle counts; reconciling with inventory control systems
Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; Quick Ship pick locations, inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
Managing the facility interior and exterior areas including landscaping, basic repairs with Team Members
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Maintains exterior of the facilities as well as interior for basic landscaping, and minor general repairs

Skills and Abilities Required

Minimum 5 years Experience working in a warehouse where you were involved in managing the shipping to retailers and on behalf of retailers single ship

Interpersonal skills

Qualifications

A minimum of 5 years' relevant work experience is required
A minimum of a college diploma
Fork Lift license REQUIRED
Working in portal with CHEP Pallet programs
Working in Warehouse Management systems
Working in excel and Transport portals
