The National Dental Examining Board of Canada (NDEB) is the organization responsible for establishing and maintaining a national standard of competence for dentists in Canada.

Its mission is to serve the Canadian public, Dental Regulatory Authorities, and dental education institutions by ensuring a valid and reliable evaluation of competence for dentists in Canada.

This position is a part time role, two days per week in our downtown Ottawa office. Your attention to detail and ability to adapt will be key to your success in this role. You will be responsible for clerical tasks within the Finance Department.


KEY ACTIVITIES

  • Process and compile accounts payable documentation for invoices, expense claims, and staff expenses
  • Obtain approval/signoff for invoices and expense claims and ensure they do not exceed approved limits
  • Verify dates, amounts, and authorization for all invoices and staff expenses
  • Digitize all paper invoices and expense claims and file electronically
  • Update internal databases
  • Package and label envelopes for outgoing payments
  • Complete ad hoc administrative tasks and special projects as needed

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Strong computer skills (Word and Excel)
  • Experience working in a finance environment and/or with accounts payable processes would be considered an asset
  • Knowledge of Sage Accounting software would be considered an asset
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent team player
  • Detail oriented and well organized
