Job Description for Accounts and Administrative Assistant


We are seeking an individual with a post-secondary education in Accounting or Finance to join our team as an Accounts and Administrative Assistant.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the day-to-day functions of our accounts team through performing entry-level accounting duties.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Accurately record financial data in our internal systems.
  • Manage and maintain an efficient filing system for streamlined operations.
  • Assist in managing tasks related to accounts receivable, ensuring timely payment of invoices and accurate recording of transactions.
  • Support the finance team in handling accounts payable responsibilities by recording all income into the system, issuing receipts and conducting monthly reconciliation.
  • Aid in reconciling bank transactions, completing deposits, and issuing cheques.
  • Assist the finance team in preparing necessary documents for audits.
  • Collaborate with donor liaison, fulfilling donors' requests and addressing finance-related queries with a helpful approach.
  • Professionally handle incoming calls, providing a positive and helpful experience.
  • Serve as a reliable support and backup for various accounting and administrative duties as required.

Key Skills and Qualifications:


  • College certificate or diploma in Accounting or Finance.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team.
  • Administrative skills for effective task management.

Salary:
$40,000.00 per year
