Job Description:

What you'll be doing


Reporting to the Managing Director and Head, Global Transaction Banking ("Head of GTB"), the Head of Canadian Cash Management has responsibility for sales of deposit and cash management products to Corporates across the enterprise's Canadian platform.

The Head of Canadian Cash Management maintains oversight of the regional teams across Eastern, Central and Western Canada.

The Canadian Cash Management business includes:

  • Operational CAD, USD and FCY accounts
  • Investment CAD and USD accounts including Sustainability Deposit Accounts (SDA), and Sustainability-Linked Deposit Accounts (SLDA)
  • Operational cash management products and services including payables, receivables, fraud mitigation and treasury information reporting


The entire suite of products and services from Canadian Cash Management are available to Global Corporate Banking clients that require Canada domiciled bank accounts and services.


Canadian Cash Management partners with relevant internal partners for set up and delivery of these solutions including but not restricted to Business Client Centre ("BCC"), Client Sales Support ("CSS") and Client Solutions Team ("CST").

How you'll succeed


The Head of Canadian Cash Management's main responsibility is to lead the Canadian Corporate Cash Management team and its portfolio of deposit and cash management solutions across CIBC's network, including the commercialization of new products.

Other responsibilities include but are not limited to the following;- Oversee sales activity and portfolio growth for Canadian Cash Management- Oversee and administer national team in coordination with regional team leads including hiring and staffing requirements to support business growth- Present to leadership across Capital Markets on Canadian Cash Management performance, strategy, and market updates- Daily review of P&L and transactions- Maintain visibility to large deposit movements of $25MM or more- Meet with clients on an annual basis at minimum as required to review client's holdings and evaluate future opportunities- Advance Purpose-driven culture and deliver on our client commitments through every decision and action by role modelling our brand through every interaction- Evolve commitments to sustainability and ESG and build an inclusive, diverse and talented team- Promote and invest in the management and development of talent for current, as well as for future needs; sees the unique potential in others, and cultivates it- Participate in the preparation of annual strategic plans with all team members to develop and service existing and potential clients by participating and assisting in the development and implementation of departmental strategies and objectives.- Demonstrate CIBC values in engaging with clients and communities we serve.- Ensure Salesforce is always maintained in a status in all aspects.- Participate/ lead various projects and initiatives as directed by senior leadership.
