The Guest service agent will assist each of our guests in a friendly, efficient, professional manner in all Guest service related functions. To maintain a high standard of service and hospitality at all times.
- Fulltime including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Responsible for checking in/out hotel guests and other duties
- Work with the hotel's property management system (FOSSE), electronic key system (SAFLOK), credit card/debit card terminals.
- Answer all telephone calls in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Understand and use message handling procedures including wake up calls
*Confirm method of payment, billings and deposits.
- Register guests and assign rooms, making every effort to accommodate special requests.
- Assist in preregistration and blocking reservations.
- Knowledge of local market to assist guests
- Handle safe deposit boxes in accordance with procedures.
- Other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
Self-motivated, friendly, upbeat, and outgoing person who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent Interpersonal, communication and organizational Skills
Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and arithmetic functions.
Ability to assimilate complex information, data, etc.
Knowledge of computers and cash handling experience mandatory.
Detail orientated and able to handle several tasks simultaneously.
Ability to convey information and ideas clearly.
Proven ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
Previous Switchboard and related Hotel/Resort experience preferred
First Aid Certificate (preferred)
Must be open to on-line e-learning methods of training, in addition to the property specific training provided.
